Seaman and Cross Claim College Swimming Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Taylor Seaman (Brighton, Mich.) and sophomore Marley Cross (Seattle, Wash.) earned College Swimming honors for their performance in a 224.5-74.5 win over MIT on Saturday, Nov. 11. Seaman was named Mid-Major Swimmer of the Week while Cross was selected Ivy League Swimmer of the Week in an announcement made by College Swimming on Tuesday.

Seaman swept the 50 (23.13), 100 (50.13), and 200 (1:51.09) freestyles in her first collegiate meet. She also swam the final leg of the first place 200 freestyle team (1:33.43).

Cross placed second in the both the 100 freestyle (51.47) and 200 freestyle (1:51.23), finishing only behind Seaman. Cross also finished third in the 50 freestyle (23.81) and led off the first place 200 freestyle relay team.

The Bears next compete at the Big Al Invitational, hosted by Princeton, on Friday, Dec. 1 through Sunday, Dec. 3.
