    The Brown women's swimming & diving team honored its six award winners and celebrated its 2017-18 accomplishments recently at the team's annual banquet.
  • Brown 2017-18 Winter Academic All-Ivy Selections Announced

    Brown University had 10 student-athletes garner Academic All-Ivy accolades in an announcement made by the Ivy League on Tuesday. The five men and five women were key contributors to their respective fall teams with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.
  • Women’s Swimming & Diving Finishes the Ivy League Championships in Sixth

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving team concluded the Ivy League Championships in sixth place with 712 points on Saturday at Blodgett Pool. Harvard won the Championships and was followed by Yale and Princeton to round out the top-three. Sophomore Sarah Welch (Beverly, Mass.) highlighted the Bears’ performances on the night, breaking a program record in the 200 backstroke.

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving team wrapped up the third day of competition at Ivy League Championships on Friday at Blodgett Pool. The Bears are in fifth place with 503 points while Harvard (1053) and Yale (990) are in the top-two spots.

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving team broke two more school records, one individual and one relay, on the second day of the Ivy League Championships on Thursday at Blodgett Pool. The Bears sit in fifth place with 277 points while host Harvard leads the pack with 545.
  • Women’s Swimming & Diving Breaks Relay Record to Open Ivy League Championships

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving team sits in fourth place after the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay on the first day of the Ivy League Championships on Wednesday night at Blodgett Pool. The Bears broke their first program record on opening night in the 800 freestyle relay. Harvard and Yale share first place with 118 points while Princeton (112) and Brown (102) are close behind.
  • Seaman Named College Swimming Ivy League Swimmer of the Week for Third Time

    Freshman Taylor Seaman (Brighton, Mich.) was named Ivy League Swimmer of the Week by College Swimming for the third time this season in announcement made by the organization on Tuesday.
  • Swimming & Diving Teams Collect CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

    The Brown men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams, with both programs ranking in the top-10 nationally, in an announcement made by the organization on Monday. To achieve the honor of a CSCAA Scholar All-American Team, programs need to have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2017 fall semester.
  • Women’s Swimming & Diving Upends Cornell, 162-138

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving team defeated Cornell, 162-138, in its final meet of the regular season on Saturday at Teagle Pool. Junior Tatiana Prendella (Bernardsville, N.J.) and freshman Taylor Seaman (Brighton, Mich.) both recorded two first place finishes to lead the Bears.
  • Women’s Swimming & Diving Bests Columbia, 153-147

    The Brown women's swimming & diving team defeated Columbia, 153-147, in its final home competition of the season at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on Saturday. The meet was the final home collegiate competition for seniors Sarah Cronin (Westfield, N.J.), Ally Donahue (Tampa, Fla.), Hailey Jacobson (Missoula, Mont.), Olivia Katcher (Hollywood, Fla.), Megan Pope (Los Altos, Calif.), Korbyn Simpson (Baltimore, Md.) and Jenna Zagoren (Cherry Hill, N.J.).

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's swimming & diving team defeated Penn 178-119 but fell to Harvard 166-134 in an Ivy League tri-meet at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on Saturday. Freshman Taylor Seaman (Brighton, Mich.) led the way for the Brown with three individual victories on the day.

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving team concluded the Big Al Invite in second place with 725 points on Sunday at DeNunzio Pool. Host Princeton won the three day meet with a score of 872 while Villanova came in third (673.)

    Freshman Taylor Seaman (Brighton, Mich.) and sophomore Marley Cross (Seattle, Wash.) earned College Swimming honors for their performance in a 224.5-74.5 win over MIT on Saturday, Nov. 11. Seaman was named Mid-Major Swimmer of the Week while Cross was selected Ivy League Swimmer of the Week in an announcement made by College Swimming on Tuesday.

    The Brown men's and women’s swimming & diving teams will open the 2017-18 season on Saturday (Nov. 4) at Yale. The women’s meet is set to start at 10:00 a.m. while the men’s meet is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
  • Women’s Swimming & Diving Adds 10 to the Class of 2021

    The Brown women’s swimming & diving program will welcome seven swimmers and three divers to the team this coming fall, as head coach Kate Kovenock heads into her fourth season at the helm. The Bears’ 2016-17 campaign was the strongest in the last decade of the program’s history, producing the best dual meet record and highest points total at the Ivy Championships in 11 years, breaking seven school records in the process.
