2012-2013: Scored in the 50 frees (21st) and the 100 free (22nd) at the Ivy League Championship meet…Helped the Bears to a fourth place finish in the 200 free relay and swam the butterfly leg on the squad’s sixth-place 200 medley relay.
2011-2012: Finished third in the 50 free, sixth in the 100 fly and eighth in the 100 free at the Ivy League Championship meet...Also competed on the fifth-place 200 free relay, the sixth-place 400 free relay and the third-place 200 medley relay at the league meet, setting a Brown University school record in the medley event...Swam a time that ranked her in the top 25 all-time at Brown in the 100 fly (3rd - 55.00)...Received the team's Florence Filippo Award...Earned her second varsity letter.
2010-2011: Scored at the Ivy League Championship meet in the 50 free (5th), 100 free (9th) and 100 fly (12th)...Also swam legs on the fourth-place 200 free relay, the fourth-place 400 free relay and the fourth-place 200 medley relay, breaking a Brown University school record in the medley event...Finished the season ranked in the top 25 all-time at Brown in the 50 free (5th - 23.41) and 100 free (8th - 50.97)...Earned her varsity letter.
Before Brown: Graduated with highest honors from Tantasqua Regional High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society…Earned the Smith Book Award and Connecticut Scholar-Athlete Award…A member of the Springfield Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2004 to 2008…Swam for the Tantasqua Regional High School team during her freshman year, setting five school records and earning the MVP award…Also competed for the University Aquatic Club and the Bluefish Swim Club…Holds six team records with University Aquatics….Qualified for the NCSA Junior National meet and the Short Course National meet…Selected as a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Personal: Emma Lamothe is the daughter of Lisa and Jim Lamothe of Brimfield, Massachusetts...She has one younger brother, Remi...Her family owns Cook's Farm Orchard in Brimfield, Massachusetts...Enjoys playing the fiddle in the Old-Time String Band at Brown and making collages...Concentrating in Health and Human Biology.
