Bears Drop Close 5-4 Decision to Dartmouth

Providence, Rhode Island - The Brown women's squash team had their third 5-4 match in four days and came up agonizingly close, before falling, 5-4, to Dartmouth at the Pizzitola on Saturday.

Pulling out her second five game win in less than 14 hours, freshman Sophie Scherl playing at #6, gave the Bears impetus. Wins by sophomore Kali Schellenberg at #7, sophomore Sarah Roberts at #9, and a superb win by junior Charlotte Steel at #3, set up the final match of the afternoon at #5. Despite a great effort by senior co-captain Minoo Fadaifard, the Big Green hung on to win the final and fifth match.

Next up for the Bears is Tufts at Belmont Hill School on Wednesday, February 5, at 6:30m.
