#9 Brown Women’s Squash Earns Wins Over Bates And Bowdoin
Providence, R.I. - The ninth-ranked Brown women's squash team returned home to the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion Sunday afternoon and earned victories over #17 Bowdoin, 9-0, and #15 Bates, 7-2. With the two wins, Brown extends its record to 10-1 overall.
Sophomore Mina Shakarshy, senior Sarah Crosky and sophomore Katherine Elliott-Moskwa each earned two wins for the Bears at numbers, three, four and five, respectively. Senior Sarah Beresford captured wins at number six against Bowdoin and at number eight vs. Bates. Freshman Emily Richmond was Brown's last double winner, earning 3-0 victories over Bowdoin at number seven, and Bates at number nine.
Brown will host a big weekend of squash, facing Penn and Stanford on Saturday, February 2 at 11 am and 5 pm, respectively, and Princeton and Georgetown on Sunday, February 3 at 12 noon and 4:30 pm, respectively.
