• Sarah Crosky Named Winter Academic All-Ivy

    The Ivy League released its winter list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with 10 Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity athlete teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.
  • Brown Wins Kurtz Cup at Women’s Team National Championship

    Brown earned a hard fought 5-4 victory over Williams in the finals of the Kurtz Cup at the Women’s National Team Championship at Harvard, capturing the championship in an incredible five game match that came down to tie-breakers. Brown, who finished ninth nationally, gained the finals with wins over Mt. Holyoke, 8-1, and Bates, 5-4.
  • Womens’ Squashers Fall To Dartmouth, 8-1, On Senior Day

    The 10th-ranked Brown women’s squash team had a spirited match with eighth-ranked Dartmouth Sunday afternoon, before falling to the Big Green by an 8-1 margin at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown (9-8) was led by junior Sarah Crosky, who came away with the lone win for the Bears, battling to a 12-10, 11-9, 11-3 victory at number three.
  • Bears' Squashers Fall To #1 Harvard, 9-0

    The 10th ranked Brown women’s squash team battled the nation’s number one team Harvard before succumbing to the Crimson, 9-0, in its final road contest of the season. The Bears return home for a Senior Day match-up against Dartmouth on Sunday, February 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center’s Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion.

    The 10th ranked Brown women’s squash team traveled south to face the Philadelphia schools and Princeton and came away with a 9-0 win over Drexel, before falling to #4 Penn, 8-1, and #5 Princeton, 9-0.

    The Brown women’s squash team, ranked 11th nationally, enjoyed its trip north to Maine and came away with victories over Bowdoin, 9-0, and Colby, 8-1. The Bears are now 8-3 overall.

    Brown's women's squash team got its first taste of Ivy League competition this weekend and split matches with two of its Ivy brethren at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion. The Bears earned a 8-1 over Columbia, but fell to Cornell by a 9-0 margin.

    The Brown women's squash team enjoyed an extremely successful day at the Wesleyan Round Robin on Saturday 3rd December, with two 9-0 wins over Wesleyan and Connecticut College book-ending an exhilarating 6-3 win over Mount Holyoke. With a long winter break ahead, the three victories lift the Bears into a great frame of mind.
  • #10 Brown Falls To #11 Bates, 7-2

    The Brown women's squash team went into the Bates match with nothing to lose, knowing that it would be a tough battle. The pre-season rankings had the Bears at #10 and the Bates Bobcats at #11, but with several Brown starters abroad this semester, the numbers meant very little. The Brown women went down swinging, ultimately losing to Bates by a score of 7-2, in a match played at MIT.

    The Brown women's squash team wrapped up its season with the Squash Team Banquet at the Waterman Grille in Providence. 
 Among several awards presented, the team and coaches recognized Carolyn Tilney'11 and Sophie Scherl '11, and Leila Driansky '11 for their CSA Scholar Athlete Awards.
