Brown Squash Players Named CSA Scholar-Athletes
Eight members of the Brown mens and womens squash teams have been named to the 2010 College Squash Association Scholar-Athlete Team. All student-athletes selected must be a junior or senior and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 of better, a two-time letter-winner, and have played in at least 75-percent of the scheduled matches.

Women's Squash Team Announces 2010 Award Winners, 2011 Captains, and the Class of 2014
The Brown women's squash team wrapped up its season with the Squash Team Banquet at the Waterman Grille in Providence.
Among several awards presented, the team and coaches recognized Laura Pyne '10, Kali Schellenberg'10 and Sarah Roberts '10, Carolyn Tilney11 and Sophie Scherl 11 for their CSA Scholar Athlete Awards.

Winter Academic All-Ivy Announced
Providence, RI- The Ivy League released its winter list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with ten Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Bears Place 10th Nationally At Kurtz Cup
The Brown womens squash team reached the finals of the Kurtz Cup at the Howe Cup National Championship and fell to Dartmouth, 7-2, in the championship match to finish 10th in the nation. The Bears had beaten Hamilton, 8-1, and Bates, 8-1, to reach the Kurtz Cup championship.

10th-Ranked Bears Beat #12 Mt. Holyoke, Fall To #9 Dartmouth
he Brown women's squash team defeated the #12 ranked Mt. Holyoke team on Saturday, 7-2, and dropped a 7-2 decision to the #9 ranked Dartmouth squad, concluding what was a very busy day on the squash courts at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

#10 Brown Earns 9-0 Win Over Tufts
The Brown womens squash team looked strong throughout the lineup in a 9-0 victory over Tufts Tuesday evening in a match played at MIT. Freshman Sarah Crosky was outstanding at number one, cruising to a 3-0 victory.

Brown's tenth-ranked womens squash team turned in a solid performance against the fifth-ranked Yale team despite the result, an 8-1 loss to the Elis at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Brown Earns Wins Over Bowdoin and Bates
The Womens Squash team traveled up to Brunswick and Lewiston in Maine on Sunday to take on the Bowdoin and Bates squads, and left with two wins, 9-0 at Bowdoin and 7-2 against Bates.

#2 Trinity Earns 9-0 Win Over Bears
Brown battled number one ranked Trinity before falling to the Bantams by a 9-0 margin at the Kellner Center. Head coach Stuart leGassick thought the Bears played well against the Trinity juggernaut, with freshman Sarah Beresford putting up the biggest fight at number nine.

In a thrilling match at the Pizzitola Sports Center, the Brown womens squash team dropped a 5-4 decision to Williams. The Bears trailed 3-1 with junior Sophie Scherl winning a thrilling 3-2 match at number four, taking the fifth game, 12-10.

Bears Dominate Amherst, Earns First Win, 9-0
After a challenging early season schedule, Brown put an exclamation point on its first win of the season, defeating the Amherst Lord Jeffs by a 9-0 margin. Coach Stuart leGassicks squad dominated from the top to the bottom of the ladder, winning all but one match 3-0.

The Brown womens squash team, ranked 10th nationally, returned to action for second semester action and dropped a 9-0 decision to the 5th-ranked Cornell Big Red at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

The 10th-ranked Brown womens squash team put up a strong fight against three-time defending Howe Cup champion and top-ranked Princeton Saturday afternoon, before falling to the Tigers, 8-1. Sophomore Leila Driansky played well for the Bears, earning a 3-0 victory over Eliza Kontulis at number nine.
