Wilson Earns All-Ivy Softball Honors

May 17, 2007

Providence, RI - Brown sophomore Kelsey Wilson (Monterey, CA) has earned Honorable Mention All-Ivy as a utility player after the conclusion of the 2007 softball season.

Wilson, one of Brown's most consistent players, has helped her team at almost every position this year. She has seen time at the mound, first base, and in the outfield, and she batted clean-up for the Bears in a majority of their games.

With a .255 batting average, she was third on the team in RBIs with 12, tallied 24 hits, scored 14 runs and had five doubles. One of her best games came against in-state rival, University of Rhode Island on April 24, when she helped her team to an exciting 8-7 victory. She went three-for-four including three RBIs and scored two runs. Wilson also hit a homerun in Brown's 3-1 victory over Charleston Southern in March.
