Providence, RI - Brown University senior utility player Amy Baxter (Hollister, CA) has been named First Team All-Ivy, and senior designated player Linnea Anderson (El Dorado Hills, CA) received Honorable Mention accolades in a vote of the eight Ivy League head softball coaches.
Baxter, a two-year captain, led the Bears with a .333 batting average, while also leading the team in runs (16) and hits (32). She hit two homeruns this season, and had a .443 on base percentage. Baxter started in every single game for Brown this season, and just missed one game in her four-year career. Baxter will be attending Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania and will be in the Master's Program in Neonatal Nursing.
Anderson, a co-captain this season, had a solid year with the Bears. She played and started in all 34 games, and was second on the team in batting with a .309. She posted 29 hits, including two homeruns, and tallied nine RBIS as the team's designated player. Anderson is graduating with Honors in Biology.
