In game one, Harvard got on the board in the third inning, when Tiffany Whitton drove in Rachel Goldberg. With the bases loaded, Sarah Koppel stepped up to the plate to record a grand slam, making the score 5-0.
Brown's only run came in the bottom of the sixth inning when junior Lauren Wong (Mountain View, CA) doubled to left field, scoring senior Julia Iudicello (McLean, VA). Iudicello led the Bears, going 2-3 on the afternoon. Junior Erin Durlesser (Santa Monica, CA) was on the mound for the Bears, and struck out three batters.
In the second game, it was the third inning again that the Crimson took advantage of, scoring three of their four runs. Again it was Whitton, coming up with the big hit, as she singled to left field, bringing in Rachel Goldberg. Goldberg's score put the Crimson up 2-0, and Harvard would go on to score one more run in that innning.
In the bottom of the 7th, the Bears showed some impressive offense, but could not string enough hits together. With Wong and junior Cara Howe (Missouri City, TX) on base, sophomore Angie Galt singled, and scored Wong. Katie Tone then stepped up to ground out to 2nd base, but not before Howe was able to score.
