Kelly Stanton joins the Brown women's softball team as a volunteer assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a minor in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State College, and was an assistant coach under Brown's head softball coach, DeeDee Enabenter-Omidiji, at Bridgewater in 2000. Stanton played two seasons at Massasoit Community College and went on to play two seasons at Bridgewater as a second baseman on Enabenter-Omidiji's squad. Stanton was the Bears team captain in 1999, and saw her team to two Massachusetts State College Conference (MASCAC) championships. In 1999, her team qualified for the NCAA Tournament, and advanced to the finals.
