2012: Made 20 appearances and started eight games during her sophomore season…Tallied four runs, six hits and two doubles…On the field,  she allowed only one error and posted 26 putouts and four assists.

2011:  Started in all 37 games during her rookie campaign, spending the majority of her time at second base…As Brown’s leadoff hitter, she was third on the team in batting with a .300 average…Posted 33 hits, 20 runs and eight RBIs and also had two doubles and 12 walks on the year… Posted a .952 fielding percentage and was 8-for-11 on stolen base attempts.

Before Brown:
 A two-sport athlete at Capistrano Valley High School, she earned three letters for basketball and two letters on the softball team…Was a member of the 2010 South O.C. All-Star Team, and was the CAPO Varsity Softball Defensive Player of the Year in 2010…Earned Orange County Register's Athlete of the Week on May 18, 2010…During her senior year, was a Scholar Athlete Honoree and won the South Coast League's Character-Athlete award for Capistrano Valley High School called "Pursuing Victory with Honor"…Also received the Capistrano Valley All-Around Athlete award in 2010 and the Coaches Award for softball in 2007.

Kries is the daughter of David and Christine Kries of Mission Viejo, California…She has a younger brother, Mike…An honor roll student for all four years and a member of the National Honor Society at Capistrano Valley High School…Won the Cougars for Character Award as well as the Academic Achievement Award in Biology in 2007…Also enjoys writing and listening to music…Concentrating in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations (BEO).
