Providence, RI- Brown University softball coach Dee Dee Enabenter-Omidiji has announced the addition of Kay Lee Davis Blanchard to her softball staff.
Blanchard, who currently works as a social worker, graduated from Madonna University in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in psychology. A standout first baseman and catcher, Blanchard was a first team All-District and All-Region first baseman, was her team's MVP, and received the athletic department's Sister Mary Franceline Leadership Award for athletic and academic excellence.
After Madonna, Blanchard coached at Birmingham Groves High School in Birmingham, Mich., and then became an assistant varsity/junior varsity softball coach at Harvard University from 1995-96. She received her masters in social work from Boston College in 1998, and went on to become the volunteer assistant softball coach at Babson College from 2000-01.
Blanchard currently lives in Sherborn, Mass., with her husband Scott, who is an assistant volleyball coach at Brown, and sons Evan and Ethan.
