Women's Soccer Drops 2-0 Decision at Penn

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Penn (6-6-3, 2-1-3) two goals in a span of three minutes to defeat Brown (5-9-2, 0-5-1), 2-0, in an Ivy League women's soccer contest Saturday afternoon at Pennsylvania.

The two teams battled to a scoreless first half, but the Quakers were awarded a penalty kick at the 65:00 mark. Penn converted on the shot, which proved to be the game-winner, to take a 1-0 lead.

The Quakers increased their lead to 2-0 just three minutes later for the final, 2-0.

Brown junior goalie Sarah Gervais (Harrisville, RI) finished with four saves for the Bears as Brown was outshot 12-3.

Brown closes out the 2002 season on Friday November 8, when the Bears host Yale at 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson Field.
