Women’s Soccer Plays Host to Princeton on Saturday (4 p.m.)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team looks to extend its unbeaten streak to six games on Saturday, Oct. 12 when the Bears host Princeton on Alumni Day at Stevenson Field. The game is set to start at 4 p.m. in the first half of a doubleheader with men's team. Links to live video and live stats will be available at www.brownbears.com.

LAST TIME OUT
Brown most recently played Columbia to a tough 0-0 draw on the road last weekend. The Bears outshot the Lions by a margin of 12-10 and put more shots on goal, 5-2. Junior Chloe Cross (Seattle, Wash.) posted a team-high four shots in the contest, while Columbia held a 10-9 edge in corner kicks, including seven in the second half. 

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Princeton enters Saturday's contest at 4-3-3 overall and 0-2 in league play. The reigning Ivy League champions most recently fell at Dartmouth, 2-0, last Saturday. Tyler Lussi leads the Tigers with 14 points on six goals and a pair of assists, while Lauren Lazo ranks second with eight points, including three goals. Darcy Hargadon has started nine out of 10 games in net and has racked up 26 saves for a .703 save percentage with a 1.16 goals against average. 

DEFENSIVELY SPEAKING
Brown has made it tough for opposing offenses over the last three weeks, as the Bears have not allowed a goal in the past four games while earning victories over UMass, Sacred Heart, Dartmouth and Bryant before tying Columbia last weekend. Senior keepers Amber Bledsoe (Cincinnati, Ohio) and MC Barrett (Ithaca, N.Y.) have split time in goal this season with each playing a half per game and have a combined for 22 saves with no goals allowed over the past four contests.
