Pincince Announces 2013 Women's Soccer Schedule

Head women's soccer coach Phil Pincince has announced Brown's 2013 schedule. The 17-game schedule features a pair of contests against teams that played in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, both of which advanced to the Second Round.

Highlighting the home slate are games against St. John's, Northeastern, Sacred Heart and Bryant, as well as three Ivy League contests, against Dartmouth, Princeton and Penn. The Bears will also host Harvard and Yale in non-league games.

Brown opens its 2013 campaign with a road contest at Quinnipiac on Friday, September 6th. The Bears then return home for a pair of games against St. John's (Sunday, September 8th) and Northeastern (Thursday, September 12th). Brown then hits the road for its longest road trip of the season, as the Bears travel to the Sunshine State, home of junior Jenn Casey (St. Petersburg) and sophomore MacKenzie Kligmann (Weston), to face 2012 NCAA Tournament participant UCF on Sunday, September 15th. The team returns to New England and then will travel to central Massachusetts to face UMass in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 19th.

Brown closes out the month of September with a pair of games at Stevenson Field, opening up a three-game homestand on Sunday, September 22nd against Sacred Heart. The Bears welcome Dartmouth to College Hill for their 2013 Ivy League opener on Sunday, September 29th.

The team hosts in-state rival Bryant, its final game outside of the Ivy League, on Wednesday, October 2nd, to open the 10th month of the year. The Bears will then play three straight Ivy contests, beginning with a game at Columbia on Saturday, October 5th. Brown returns home to host Princeton on Saturday, October 12th, and then travels up I95 to face Harvard in Cambridge on Saturday, October 19th.

Brown will make a mid-week trip to Hanover to face Dartmouth in a non-league game on Tuesday, October 22nd, before returning to Ivy League action on Sunday, October 27th against Cornell in Ithaca. A non-league home game against Harvard on Tuesday, October 29th rounds out the month of October.

The Bears complete their Ancient Eight schedule with a home game against Penn on Saturday, November 2nd, and a road contest at Yale on Friday, November 8th. Brown concludes its 2013 regular season campaign when it welcomes Yale to Stevenson Field for a non-league contest on Sunday, November 10th.
