ABOUT BROWN: Having graduated four starters from the 2009 season, including All-Ivy honorees Bridget Ballard '10 and Melissa Kim '10, the Bears will look to several new faces to help fill key spots in 2010, most notably in goal. The Bears will rely on the freshman tandem of MC Barrett (Ithaca, NY) and Amber Bledsoe (Withamsville, OH) to share the goaltending duties following the graduation of Brenna Hogue '10 and Steffi Yellin '10. Despite the losses from graduation, the Bears return their top three scorers from 2009 and four of their top five scorers in Joyce Chun '11 (Irvine, CA), Gina Walker '11 (Canyon Country, CA), Sylvia Stone '11 (Bronx, NY), and Marybeth Lesbirel '12 (Holmdel, NJ). All-Ivy defender Allison Kagawa '12 (Mililani, HI), who has started all 32 games over the past two seasons, also returns and will help anchor the backfield following Ballard's graduation.

ABOUT NORTHEASTERN: The Huskies (2-1) are fresh off a 12-4-1 season in which they went 7-1-3 in the CAA en route to a regular season title. This past weekend, Northeastern claimed a pair of wins in the Ocean State, beating Bryant, 3-0, and URI, 2-1. Sophomore Greta Samuelsdottir leads the Huskies in scoring with two goals on the season, including one game-winner. Junior Veronica Napoli (1-1-3), preseason CAA Player of the Year Devin Petta (1g), and junior Gabbi Jatkola (1g) have also scored at least once this year.

ABOUT COLGATE: The Raiders (0-3) were picked to win the Patriot League Championship this season, after claiming the title last year with an 11-7-3 overall record and a 5-1-1 mark in the conference. Colgate is winless in the early going, having lost to a pair of ranked opponents, #17 Virginia (6-0) and #17 Rutgers (4-1), in addition to Syracuse (2-1). Sophomore goalie Ashley Walsh, the 2009 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, will look to lead Colgate this season after leading the Patriot League in saves during the 2009 campaign. Colgate's goals this year have been scored by sophomore Jillian Kinter and senior Anna Baldwin.
