PROVIDENCE, RI - Three members of the Brown women's lacrosse team are among 159 Division I student-athletes from across the country recognized on the 2008 IWLCA National Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a member of the varsity lacrosse team, must have achieved junior or senior standing academically, and must have achieved a GPA of 3.20 or higher. Brown is also one of 50 teams to earn the 2008 IWLCA National Academic Team Award. This award recognizes those institutions that have achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2007-2008 academic year. Across the league, all eight Ivy League schools earned the Academic Team Award. Individually, Brown led the league with three recipients, while Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Penn, and Princeton each had two.
Individuals on the Brown team honored include senior Hillary Anderson (Hinesburg, VT), who was named to the honor roll for the second straight year, and juniors Callie Lawrence (Denver, CO) and Kelly Robinson (Marlton, NJ).
