Three Bears Earn All-Ivy Recognition

PROVIDENCE, RI - Junior Mimi DeTolla (Stony Brook, NY) and freshmen Kiki Manners (North Potomac, MD) and Molly McCarthy (Scituate, MA) of the Brown women's lacrosse team were selected to the 2007 All-Ivy Women's Lacrosse Teams as selected by the Ivy League's eight head coaches. All three were named Honorable Mention All-Ivy.

The Bears second leading scorer with 33 points, DeTolla led Brown with 22 goals and 30 draw controls. Despite missing two games with injuries, she was also second on the team with 11 assists. A captain this season, DeTolla ranks fifth all-time at Brown with 75 career draw controls. She also led Brown this year with free position goals, scoring on eight of 13 attempts.

McCarthy finished an outstanding first year for the Bears, anchoring the midfield, while taking the majority of the team's draws. She led Brown with 35 points (10g) and 25 assists, ranking fourth in the Ivy League with 1.57 assists per game. She was also second on the team with 20 draw controls and fourth on the team with 20 ground balls. McCarthy's 25 assists this season ranks fourth all-time at Brown.

Manners helped to lead the Brown defense this season, while also sparking many transitions, as one of the fastest players on the field. A tough one-on-one defender, Manners led Brown with 21 caused turnovers and ranked third on the team with 22 ground balls. She also picked up eight points at the other end of the field with two goals and six assists.
