March 29, 2004

Providence, RI - Junior Sarah Passano (Baltimore, MD) was named Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts in helping Brown to a 10-9 come-from-behind win over Harvard last week. The Bears' leading scorer with 13 points (10g, 3a), Passano also leads the team with 10 goals.

Against the Crimson, Brown's Ivy League opener, Passano led all goal scorers with five goals, doubling her season goal out-put, while also notching two assists. After Harvard had taken a 9-7 lead late in the second half, Passano fired off three straight goals to lift Brown to the 10-9 win. Harvard scored its ninth goal with under nine minutes left and Passano answered for Brown, bringing Brown to within one and then tying the game at 9-9 with 6:10 left to play. She netted the game-winner just 1:29 later and also added three ground balls in the win.
