Brown Women's Lacrosse Closes Out Season With 19-10 Loss at Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ - The Women's lacrosse team closed out the 2003 season on Saturday afternoon, falling to Princeton, 19-10. Sophomore Sarah Passano (Baltimore, MD) led the Bears with three goals, while senior Bekah Rottenberg (Colrain, MA) scored two.
Junior Christine Anneberg (Denver, CO) notched one goal and one assist, while juniors Laurel Pierpont (Jacksonville, FL) and Emily Blanton (Shaker Heights, OH), and freshman Meg Sullivan (Garden City, NY) and Ashley Holden (Alexandria, VA) each added one goal. Freshman Layla Jafar (Greenwich, CT) also tallied one assist. In net for the Bears, sophomore Julia Southard (Manhasset, NY) recorded six saves.
Rottenberg finished the year as the Bears' leading scorer with 27 goals, 14 assists and 41 points. She finishes her Brown career with 122 points, which ranks 7th all-time at Brown, 98 goals, which is 6th all-time at Brown, and 24 assists. Seniors Maggie Connolly (Manhasset, NY), who finished the year with nine points, Jocelyn Moore (Washington, DC), who finished the year with seven points, and Whitney Talbot (New Canaan, CT), who finished with one assist, also closed out their Brown careers on Saturday against the Tigers.
