While with the Big Red, Woods assisted will all coaching aspects, including practice planning, developing and implementing game-day strategies, recruiting, opponent scouting, team travel, team equipment orders, film breakdown, management of budget, and supervision of office student workers. In addition, Woods served as the Assistant Director of Cornell's Premier & Girl's Lacrosse Camps.
A 2001 graduate of Drew University with a B.A. in Psychology, Woods received a M.S. from Ithaca in Exercise and Sports Sciences: Sport Psychology & Sport Pedagogy in 2002. A sixsemester Dean's List student at Drew, Woods earned the ECAC/Robbins Scholar Athlete Award in 2001. As an athlete at Drew, Woods was a standout on both the soccer and lacrosse teams, earning the Drew University Female Athlete of the Year award in 2001 along with the NJAIAW Drew University Woman of the Year. A U.S. Lacrosse All-American as a senior, Woods also earned Brine/IWLCA All-America honors in 2001 along with ECAC-Metro Player of the Year recognition. The two-time Regional All-American in both soccer and lacrosse, Woods earned MAC All-Star honors in lacrosse all four years and in soccer for three straight years.
