A 2008 graduate of Ivy rival Penn with a B.A. in Economics,
Melissa Lehman joined the Bears' staff as an assistant coach in
August 2008. She was a three-year starter for the Quakers'
midfield, earning Third Team All-American, First Team All-Region,
and First Team All-Ivy as a senior captain, while helping to lead
Penn to a 17-2 record, its second straight Ivy League Title, and a
#2 national ranking, advancing to the NCAA Championship game. As a
junior in 2007, Lehman earned Honorable Mention All-Ivy, while
helping to lead the Quakers to the NCAA semi-finals. As a senior,
Lehman was second on the team in both goals (33) and points (44).
A native of Oceanport, NJ, Lehman has coached at both the Penn
Elite Lacrosse Camp (2005-2008) and the Extreme Sports Camp in
Seaside Heights, NJ (2003-2007). In addition, she has also
volunteered for the past five years at the Shore Lacrosse Camp,
teaching the game to local middle school children.
