Waterman Named One of Delaware's Top High School Basketball Players of the Decade
Junior women's lacrosse standout Paris Waterman (Newark, DE), who was a First Team All-State selection in three sports as a senior at the Sanford School, has been named one of Delaware's top high school basketball players of the decade by Delaware's Finest Inc., a local basketball charity group that polled coaches, referees and media. Waterman earned Second Team All-Decade honors and All-Defensive First Team recognition, while getting named the top defender of the decade.

Five Women's Laxers Named to 2009 IWLCA National Academic Honor Roll
Five members of the Brown women's lacrosse team are among 189 Division I student-athletes from across the country recognized on the 2009 IWLCA National Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a member of the varsity lacrosse team, must have achieved junior or senior standing academically, and must have achieved a GPA of 3.20 or higher. Individually, Brown led the league with five recipients, while Dartmouth, Penn, and Yale each had three.

Bears Set to Open 2009 Fall Season at Holy Cross
Under the leadership of head coach Keely McDonald ’00 and senior tri-captains Bethany Buzzell (Middletown, MD), Kara Kelly (Garden City, NY), and Kiki Manners (North Potomac, MD), the Brown women's lacrosse team is set to open the 2009-10 season this Saturday, October 10, at Holy Cross. The Bears will participate in their first challenge of the new year in the fall play day, the first of three events scheduled for this fall.
