Bears and Crimson Set To Face-Off

Brown (4-3-2): Brown comes into today's game off a 4-4 tie with cross-town rival, #6 Providence on Tuesday. The Bears quickly took a 3-0 lead in the first period but the Friars scored four straight goals to take a 4-3 lead early in the third period. Senior Courtney Johnson scored the game-tying goal midway through the final period as the two teams played to a 4-4overtime tie. Seventeen players have two or more points on the year for Brown with sophomore Jessica Link leading the way with six goals and six assists for 12 points. Sophomore Kerry Nugent is second with two goals and eight assists for 10 points. Her eight assists leads the Bears. Last season Brown and Harvard split two games as the Bears ended a four-game losing streak against the Crimson in their last meeting. Overall, Brown leads the series 30-19-3.
Harvard (6-1-0): Harvard remains a perfect 4-0 in ECAC play this year. The Crimson defeated Connecticut on Tuesday with a 5-1 score. Harvard has out-scored its opponents 50-8, losing only to top ranked Minnesota 4-3. Jennifer Botterill and Angela Ruggiero lead the nation with 28 and 20 points respectively. In seven games Botterill has totaled 14 goals and 14 assists while Ruggiero has five goals and 15 assists.
