"Zamora's Growth Is Finally Being Recognized"

Kristy Zamora '02 (Oshawa, ONT) is one of the most accomplished players in Brown women's ice hockey history. During her senior season in 2001-2002, Zamora helped lead the Bears to the NCAA Finals. Zamora scored three of the team's four goals, including both of the Bears' goals in the championship game at the 2002 Frozen Four. For her outstanding play, she was named the Frozen Four MVP. The Bear's co-captain led the Bears with 35 goals and 21 assists for 56 points. Her 35 goals in 35 games placed her third in the nation in goals per game and tied for third in the nation in points per game. Zamora ended her career at Brown with a total of 72 goals and 48 assists for 120 points, ranking her eleventh on Brown's all time leading scorer list.

Zamora has continued her career in hockey, playing for the Brampton Thunder of the National Women's Hockey League for the past three seasons.
