Four Former Women's Icers Named to 2003 U.S. Select Team

Colorado Springs, CO - USA Hockey has announced the roster for the 2003 United States Women's Select Team that will compete in the Four Nations Cup, Nov. 5-9 in Skovde, Sweden, and four former Brown players have been named to the team. Pam Dreyer '03 (Eagle River, AK), Kim Insalaco '03 (Rochester, NY), Katie King '97 (Salem, NH) and Kathleen Kauth '01 (Saratoga Springs, NY) were all selected to the team.
The announcement was made by USA Hockey President Ron DeGregorio (Salem, N.H.), Executive Director Doug Palazzari (Colorado Springs, Colo.), International Council Chairman Tony Rossi (Chicago, Ill.), Senior Director of International Administration Art Berglund (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and U.S. Women's Olympic and National Team Head Coach Ben Smith (Gloucester, Mass.).
The Four Nations Cup, previously known as the Three Nations Cup, is a round-robin tournament that has been held seven times (1996-2002). Canada, Finland and the United States competed until 2000, when Sweden also joined the field. The U.S. has competed every year except for 2001 and earned the title in 1997. Canada defeated Team USA, 4-2, in last year's championship game.
