Bears Place Three All-ECACHL Team

Canton, NY - The 2005-06 ECACHL All-Conference teams have been announced after a vote of the eleven ECACHL head coaches. Senior defender Myria Heinhuis and sophomore forward Hayley Moore were named to the Second Team, while senior forward Keaton Zucker made her way onto the ECACHL Third Team.
Heinhuis has been the backbone of the Bear's defense for most of career at Brown, and has made her presence known in the offensive zone the last two seasons. Ranking eleventh among ECACHL defenders in scoring this season tallying nine points on a goal and eight assists, the 5'11 defender has never missed a game or practice in her four year career and has recorded eight goals and 41 assists for 49 points in 126 appearances. Heinhuis was named to last season's ECACHL Second Team and named to the Rookie team her freshman year.
Moore was a force for Brown in the offensive zone all year, leading the team in points (40), goals (23) and assists (17). With 26 points in conference play, the second year forward stands in third place in the ECAC Hockey League for points per game. Moore's 14 goals rank her fourth and with five game winning goals Moore ranks number one in the ECACHL. Last season Moore was named to the All-ECACHL Rookie Team.
Zucker has been the Bears' clutch player this season tallying 32 points on 15 goals and 17 assists, second best on the Bears. Ranking eighth in the conference for points per game tallying 23 points on 11 goals and 12 assists, Zucker has cashed in seven times when the Bears had a man advantage, ranking third in the ECACHL. In her career the forward has tallied 106 points on 44 goals and 62 assists putting her sixteenth on Brown's All-Time Leading Scorer List.
Heinhuis, Moore and Zucker will look to lead the Bears to the ECACHL Championship this weekend, as the Bears face Princeton in their semi-final match-up at 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Appleton Arena in Canton, NY.
