Thatcher and Dreyer Earn ECAC Women's Hockey Weekly Honors

Brown senior Pam Dreyer (Eagle River, AK) was named the ECAC Goaltender of the Week and freshman Karen Thatcher (Franklin, MA) was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week for the week of March 10 for their play against St. Lawrence in the ECAC quarterfinal series. This marks the second time this season Dreyer has been named Goaltender of the Week and the second straight week Thatcher has earned the Rookie of the Week award.

Dreyer stopped 85 shots over the three-game series including stopping all 15 shots she faced in the third period of the crucial third game on Sunday. The win on Sunday was Dreyer's 40th career victory. Thatcher tallied two goals and two assists to lead the Bears in scoring for the series. Thatcher scored the game-winning and empty net goal in final game of the series to seal the Bear's victory.

Brown will face Harvard on Saturday Mar. 15 at noon in the first ECAC semifinal game, hosted by Brown.
