Brown (9-9-4): The Bears split a pair of games over the weekend, defeating Vermont 4-1 on Friday before losing to fourth ranked Dartmouth 3-0. The loss marked the first time in 62 games Brown had not scored a goal, dating back to the 2000-01 season. Senior goalkeeper Pam Dreyer recorded 31 saves in the loss. Sophomore Jessica Link leads Brown with 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points on the year and has 72 points in her career. In just her second year of play, Link needs just four more points to enter Brown's all-time scoring list at the 25th spot. The two teams battled to a 4-4 tie back on Nov. 26 for the 8th Annual Mayor's Cup at Meehan Auditorium. Providence leads the series 26-19-2 which began back in 1976. Since the early nineties, the Bears have come on strong, going 18-3-2 against the Friars. Providence has not defeated Brown since 1997 with the Bears out-scoring the Friars 39-10 in 11 games going 9-0-2, including four shutouts.

Providence (16-6-6): The Friars are coming off a two-game sweep of Connecticut this past weekend. On Friday, the Friars defeated the Huskies, 3-2 at home. The following day, Providence traveled to Storrs, CT. and defeated the Huskies, 2-1. Senior Jenn Butsch and sophomore Rush Zimmerman are tied for the team lead in points with 28. Freshman goaltender Jana Bugden was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week on February 10 for her strong play against Connecticut. She made 45 saves on 48 shots over the weekend series.
