Women's Ice Hockey To Host Annual Alumnae Weekend

Providence, RI - The women's ice hockey team will host their annual alumnae weekend on Saturday, which includes an Alumnae All-Star game, where alumns from recent seasons take on the current Bears in a 4:00 p.m. match up. Following the game, friends and family of Brown hockey can join the two teams on the ice for a family skate.
Among the returning Alumnae All-Stars will be United States Olympic Gold Medalist Tara Mounsey '03 and last year's captain, Katie Guay '05, who will face old teammates and the class of 2009. Also hitting the ice for the All-Stars will be current assistant coaches Ali Kenney '00 and Shannon Kennedy.
Later on in the evening, following an alumnae vs. alumnae game, there will be a locker room dedication and reception closing out the weekend.
Missing the weekend will be five former players, Katie King '97, Becky Kellar `97, Kathleen Kauth '01, Pam Dreyer '03 and Kim Insalaco `03 who will take part in this year's Olympics, which open up on Friday, February 10. King, Kauth, Dreyer and Insalaco will represent Team USA, while Kellar will make her third appearance in Team Canada's uniform.
