Women's Ice Hockey to host two games this weekend at Meehan Auditorium.

On Sunday, the Bears will look to avenge a January 6 loss to Niagara. The Purple Eagles defeated Brown for the first time in school history, winning 3-1.

The Brown Women's Ice Hockey Team will battle the Connecticut Huskies on January 19 at Meehan Auditorium in Providence, RI. Game time is set for 2:00pm. The game will be the first of two games this weekend, as the Bears will play Niagara on Sunday January 20 at 2:00pm.

Connecticut (10-9-2, 7-4-1):

Connecticut is coming off a Wednesday night victory over Quinnipiac, 5-1. The Huskies are led by Kim Berry who totals 17-10-27 on the season. 12 of Berry's goals have come in ECAC Eastern games. Berry has also recorded three game-winning goals for the Huskies. Tiffany Owens ranks second on the team in points, with 8-6-14 for totals. In net, Shannon Murphy has been the mainstay, playing in 18 games for the Huskies. She posts a .913 saves percentage and a GAA of 2.34. Her season record is 7-9-2. The ECAC Eastern Division, Murphy maintains a 1.88 GAA and .923 save percentage. Samantha Dexter has appeared in 5 games on the season, posting a .909 save percentage and a 2.50 GAA.

Niagara (16-5-0, 10-2-0):

The Purple Eagles are currently 16-5-0 overall and 10-2-0 for the season. The team ranks first in the ECAC, while maintaining a top ten ranking in the nation. Junior Valerie Hall leads the team in points, with 109-14-24 on the season. Freshman Teresa Marchese-Del Monte has totaled 10-14-24 in 2001-2002. In net, senior Tania Pinelli has recorded five shutouts on the season, maintaining a .928 save percentage and a 1.61 GAA.
