Women's Hockey Gears Up For Weekend Series In Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN - The women's ice hockey team (10-6-1, 7-5-0) travels to Minnesota this weekend for a two game series with the #1 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers (17-1-2, 14-0-2 WCHA) on Friday 7:05 p.m. CT and Saturday 7:05 p.m. CT.
Coming into this weekend's match-up freshman Hayley Moore (Wakefield, MA) has recorded a point in five of the last seven games and leads Brown in assists, dishing out 12. Senior Kerry Nugent (Andover, MA) leads the Bears in goals netting seven this season. This season the Bears have not had great success against ranked teams posting a 1-5, record.
The Gophers are on a three game win streak including two shut outs last weekend to Bemidji State. Leading Minnesota is junior Natalie Dartwitz who has recorded 136 points in 20 games, netting 38 goals and dishing out 59 assists for the Gophers.
Friday's match-up will be televised on a tape delay basis on Saturday, January 15 at 4:30 p.m., on Fox Sports Net North locally.
