Guay earned the honor after scoring five goals in Brown's 9-3 rout over Yale on January 11 in New Haven, CT. Guay's five goals matched a Brown women's hockey single game high scoring record, set by Mardie Corcoran (1984-85) and Amy Crafts (1978-79).
Guay has appeared in all 16 games for the Bears this season. The freshman has tallied 7 goals on the season, with 3 of them coming as game-winners. Brown received ECAC Rookie of the Week honors earlier in the season when Amy McLaughlin (Berlin, MA) earned the honor on November 19.
The Bears are 9-6-1 overall on the season, 6-3-0 in the ECAC, and 3-2-0 in the Ivy League. Brown is currently riding a three game win streak, and will return to the ice this weekend, when the team will host Connecticut on January 19 and Niagara on January 20.
