Box Score

Providence, RI - Sophomore Kathryn Moos (Wayzata, MN) returned to the Meehan Auditorium, with a bang scoring two of Brown's (4-3-0, 3-2-0) three goals in tonight's, 7-3 loss to Harvard (4-1-0, 4-1-0).

The Bears came out strong, taking a three goal lead midway thru the first. Junior Keaton Zucker (Gilford, NH) started off the scoring for Brown on a power play, two minutes into the game. Junior Lindsey Glennon (Exter, NH) gave a pass to senior Katie Guay (Westfield, MA) at the point, who found Zucker, open at the top of the crease. Zucker took the pass from Guay and put it top shelf, over Harvard's goalie, for the 1-0 lead. Senior Krissy McManus (Dedham, MA) won a draw at center ice and took the puck into the Crimson zone. McManus past the puck cross ice to an open Moos who slide the puck in for Brown's second goal of the game at the 13:00 mark. Moos increased Brown's lead a minute later, when she knocked in a free puck to give the Bears a 3-0, with 12:00 minutes left in the period. The Crimson would take the game from there scoring three late first period goals to knot the game at three.

Crimson captain Nicole Corriero scored the first of her four goals three minutes into the second, giving Harvard the lead for good. Mid-way through the period freshman Stacy Silverman (Wakefield, MA) relieved classmate O'Hara Shipe (Anchorage, AK) in net. Shipe finished the game with 15 saves in 23:47 of play.

Brown threatened in the third, out shoting the Crimson, 13-8, but couldn't get the spark they had in the first period back on their side. Harvard tacked on two more goals by Corriero in the third to round out the scoring. Silverman finished with 11 saves for the evening.

Brown will take the ice Friday, November 19, when they will host a 7:00 ECACHL conference game, facing Clarkson.
