Brown Women's Ice Hockey Suffers a Tough Loss to Princeton, 6-3

The Brown University women's ice hockey team (15-10-2, 11-5-1) dropped to Princeton (20-8-0, 12-5-0), 6-3 Saturday afternoon at Meehan Auditorium. Junior Jessica Link (Clifton Park, NY) tallied two goals and an assist for the Bears in the game.
The Bears came out on top in the first, leading the Tigers 2-0. Brown netted their first goal at 9:37 when junior Jessica Link (Clifton Park, NY) tipped in her 23rd goal of the season off a rebounded shot by junior Amy McLaughlin (Berlin, MA). Sophomore Keaton Zucker (Gilford, NH) also earned an assist on the play. With 13 seconds remaining in the period, Link tallied her second goal of the game taking it top shelf to fake out the Princeton goalie. Zucker added her second assist of the game on the goal.
Princeton brought the game within one at the 5:44 mark in the second. However, the Bears answered back to regain a two-goal lead when freshman Kathryn Moos (Wayzata, MN) notched her 9th goal of the season on the power-play off passes from Link and McLaughlin. The Tigers came back strong to tie the game 3-3 with two goals at the end of the period
The Tigers took control in the third taking the lead for the first time in the game, 4-3 just over two minutes into the third period. They netted two late goals to take the win, 6-3.
The Bears will continue action in their last home game of the season when they host Yale, Sunday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m.
