Courtney Johnson made the score 1-0 just 6:46 into the game, when she beat a Colgate defender and slotted the puck in the upper right corner of the net. Krissy McManus and Meredith Ostrander were credited with the assists.
Kate Kenny (Toronto, Ontario) put the Bears up 2-0 at the 5:07 mark of the second period, firing a shot past Raider goaltender Rebecca Lahar. The tally was Kenny's second of the season. Johnson and Ostrander got the assists.
At the 3:39 mark of the 3rd period, Mandy McCurdy gave the Bears a 4-0 advantage, netting her 3rd goal of the season. Colgate made the score 4-1, when Cheryl Setchel tallied her 12th goal of the season, tipping in a loose puck in front of the net. Kristin Cirbus and Chelsey Rhodes assisted on the Raider goal, which came at the 9:37 mark of the final period.
Katie Germain was in net for the Bears, recording 15 saves on the night. Germain improved her season record to 5-3-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the ECAC on the season.
Brown returns to action on Saturday February 2, when the team will host Cornell at 4:00pm.
