    Men’s lacrosse senior attack Dylan Molloy and women’s ice hockey freshman forward Sena Hanson have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 13-19, Brown announced on Monday.
  • Women’s Hockey Skates Past Harvard, 3-1

    The Brown women’s hockey team defeated Harvard for the first time since 2002 with a 3-1 win at Bright-Landry Hockey Center on Saturday. Freshman Sena Hanson (New Brighton, Minn.) recorded two goals and an assist in the win for the Bears while senior Monica Elvin (Oakland, Calif.) made 42 saves in net. With the victory, Brown moved to 7-22-0 on the season and 5-17-0 in the ECAC while Harvard dropped to 5-19-5 on the year and 5-13-4 in conference action.
  • Women’s Hockey Earns Season Sweep Over Dartmouth With 5-2 Win

    The Brown women’s hockey team earned a 5-2 win over Dartmouth at Thompson Arena on Friday night to complete the season sweep over the Big Green. Freshman Veronica Alois (Andover, Mass.) recorded a hat trick for the Bears, with two goals in the second period and one in the third. The season sweep marks the first over Dartmouth since the 1999-00 regular season and Brown’s first win in Hanover since March 17, 2002.
  • Women’s Hockey Wraps Up Season On the Road at Dartmouth (Fri.) and Harvard (Sat.)

    The Brown women’s hockey team will close out the regular season on the road at Dartmouth on Friday, Feb. 17 and at Harvard on Saturday, Feb. 18. Friday’s contest will begin at 6:00 p.m. while Saturday’s puck drop will be at 3:00 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network while the game at Harvard will also appear on NESN.
  • Women’s Hockey Defeated by No. 7/7 Cornell, 5-1

    The Brown women’s hockey team was defeated by No. 7/7 Cornell, 5-1, to close out its home portion of the 2016-17 season on Saturday at Meehan Auditorium. Seniors Erin Conway (Jackson, Mich.), Monica Elvin (Oakland, Calif.), Catherine LeBoeuf (Dieppe, New Brunswick) and Maddie Woo (Plymouth, Minn.) were honored in a pregame ceremony for their contributions over the last four years.

    The Brown women’s hockey team will return to Meehan Auditorium for their final home weekend of the 2016-17 season and battle Colgate on Friday, Feb. 10 and No. 7/7 Cornell on Saturday, Feb. 11. Friday’s game will start at 6:00 p.m. while Saturday’s will begin at 3:00 p.m. Brown will honor seniors Erin Conway, Catherine LeBoeuf, Monica Elvin and Maddie Woo in a brief pregame ceremony on Saturday.
  • Women’s Hockey Outlasted by Colgate, 7-3

    The Brown women’s hockey team was defeated by Colgate, 7-3, on Friday night at Meehan Auditorium. Freshman Sara Migliori’s second-period goal pulled the Bears within one of the Raiders (4-3), but Colgate went on to score three unanswered tallies to close out the win.
  • Women’s Hockey Defeated at No. 9/9 Princeton, 6-1

    The Brown women’s hockey team, playing its second ranked opponent in as many days, was defeated by No. 9/9 Princeton, 6-1, on Saturday at Hobey Baker Rink. Princeton registered two goals in each period en route to its win. Freshman Sarah Migliori (East Greenwich, R.I.) recorded Brown’s goal in the contest.

    Yale benefited from three power-play goals to claim a 4-2 win over the Brown women’s hockey team at Meehan Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. Junior Dara Wais (Baltimore, Md.) registered her first-career goal and assist in the game.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore Bridget Carey (Weymouth, Mass.) pulled the Brown women’s hockey team within one at 15:37 of the third period but the Bears were unable to score the equalizer as Yale picked up a 2-1 win at Ingalls Rink on Friday night.

    Brown women's hockey senior Monica Elvin (Oakland, Calif.) was named ECAC Goaltender of the Week after she averaged a 1.01 goals-against average and a .966 save percentage in two games over the weekend.

    Wrestling 149-pound sophomore Travis Vasquez and women’s ice hockey senior goaltender Monica Elvin have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Jan. 16-22, Brown announced on Monday.
  • Women’s Hockey Blanks Dartmouth, 1-0

    Freshman Sarah Migliori (East Greenwich, R.I.) scored the only goal of the day as the Brown women’s hockey team shut out Dartmouth, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Meehan Auditorium. The blanking was senior Monica Elvin’s (Oakland, Calif.) first-career shutout in net. The win marks the Bears’ first win over the Big Green since March 4, 2006, also a shutout at Meehan Auditorium (3-0).
  • Women’s Hockey Drops 3-1 Decision Versus Harvard

    The Brown women’s hockey team was defeated by Harvard, 3-1, on Friday night at Meehan Auditorium. After two scoreless periods, the Crimson provided the game’s first two goals. Brown notched its tally at 8:14 of the third before Harvard added an empty net goal to seal the win.

    The Brown women’s hockey team was defeated by No. 3/3 Clarkson, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon at Cheel Arena. A six-goal first period powered the Golden Knights, who added one goal in both the second and third. Freshman Sena Hanson (New Brighton, Minn.) put in a score for the Bears in the opening period.

  • Women’s Hockey Edged by RPI, 4-3

    The Brown women’s hockey team came back to tie the game twice, but it was RPI who would score the last goal to pick up a 4-3 win at Houston Field House on Friday night. With the loss, Brown moves to 3-13-0 (1-8-0 ECAC) overall while RPI goes to 6-14-1 (3-6-0 ECAC) on the season.
