2013-2014: Appeared in all 29 games, a mainstay on the Bears’ defense…Finished the season with five points on one goal and four assists…Scored in the Bears’ 4-2 win over St. Lawrence on January 17..Tallied 34 shots on the year.

2012-13: Made 25 appearances during her sophomore season … recorded seven assists, which tied for second most on the team, and four goals, which was good for fifth most … was third on the team with a shot percentage of .125 and an 11 point total … her 42 blocks were the second most on the team ... also was a crucial member of the power play unit, scoring one goal and five assists during player advantage … recorded two goals and one assist in a 6-5 victory over Maine on Jan. 6.

2011-12: A leader both on and off the ice in just her first season with Brown; she took over as one the starting defenders as a rookie ... 30 games played … three goals scored … six assists, tied for fourth on the team.

Before Brown: Played for two club teams in 2007-08, the New Jersey Penguins which was a girls only team and the Bayonne Rangers which was a boys team ... member of the New Jersey Colonials (girls) from 2008-11. 

Personal: Lauren F. Vella is the daughter of Joseph and Lynne Vella ... has one brother, Paul … her Uncle Perry Vella Sr. was a member of the Class of 1984 ...  an Honor Roll student and Vice President of the National Honor Society at Staten Island Tech High School ... was the Laurenzano Scholarship winner and recipient of the Student Achievement Award for Outstanding Performance and School Leadership.
