Bears Second After Day One of season Opening Dartmouth Invitational

Hanover, NH - The Brown women's golf team made a statement in the opening round of the 17-team Dartmouth Invitational, shooting an opening round 311, standing in second place, just three strokes off the pace set by host Dartmouth (308), at the par-72 Hanover Country Club.

The Bears' lineup was consistent from top to bottom, with freshman Heather Arison at the head of the class with a four-over par 76 (40-36), good for fifth place after round one. Sophomore Julia Robinson is also in the Top-10 individually after day one, shooting 77 (41-36), to stand in seventh place overall.

Freshman Megan Tuohy and freshman Carly Arison, Heather's twin sister, also came through for the Bears carding 79 for the Bears. Sophomore Sarah Guarascio also scored for the Bears, shooting 86.

The Bears will try to catch the Big Green in the final round, scheduled for Sunday.
