Northfield, New Jersey - Brown earned a sixth place finish at the 2009 Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, shooting a 54-hole score of 985 at the historic par-70 Atlantic City Country Club. The Bears competed in the tournament with the youngest team in the field, featuring two sophomores and three freshmen.
Harvard earned the Ivy team title by two shots over Yale with a team score of 904. Yale came in at 9-6, followed by Princeton (909), Columbia (945), Penn (946), Brown (985), and Dartmouth (1029).
Freshman Carly Arison turned in an outstanding effort in her Ivy League Tournament debut, finishing 12th individually with a 54-hole 234, shooting 80-74-80. Freshman Heather Arison was Brown's second leading scorer and 24th individually with scores of 84-80-81--245.
Sophomore Julia Robinson was solid throughout the tournament, shooting 80-82-84--246 to finish 25th individually. Freshman Megan Tuohy came in at 261 after shooting 90-84-87, while sophomore Sarah Guarascio came in at 268 (89-92-87).
The Ivy League Championship concludes the 2009 season for the Bears.
