Brown 5th Following Day One of Ivy League Championship

Atlantic City, NJ - Playing in gusty conditions with three freshmen and two sophomores in the lineup, the Brown women's golf team stands in fifth place with a team score of 333 after the first round of the Ivy League Golf Championship held at the historic par-70 Atlantic City Country Club.

Harvard holds first place on the first day at 306, with Harvard two-shots back at 308, followed by Princeton (310), Penn (325), Brown (333), Columbia (333) and Dartmouth (352).

Both sophomore Julia Robinson and freshman Carly Arison are tied for 13th place, shooting a 10-over 80 to lead the Bears. Freshman Heather Arison also scored for the Bears, shooting 84 to stand in 23rd place overall.

Sophomore Sarah Guarascio is 29th after day one, shooting 89 for the Bears, while freshman Megan Tuohy came in at 90 on the opening day of play.

The Bears will tee off at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning on day two, with play concluding with 18 holes on Sunday.
