Women's Golfers First At Inaugural Brown Spring Invitational

East Providence, RI - Head coach Mike Harbour's Brown women's golf team captured its second consecutive intercollegiate tournament championship, winning the inaugural Brown University Spring Invitational, held at the Agawam Hunt Club. The Bears also placed first at the Bucknell Lady Bison Invitational a week ago.

Brown outdistanced the field by 31 shots, finishing with a two-day 624 (308, 316). Boston College placed second with a two-day 655, followed by Dartmouth, Harvard, Amherst, Fairfield, Mt. Holyoke and Bryant.

The Bears were led by junior Elizabeth Carpenter and sophomore Jennifer Bley, who tied for second place individually with identical scores of 154 (75, 79). Senior Tara Fiscella earned a sixth place finish, shooting 80-79-159.

Freshman Eleanor Thomas placed 8th individually with a two-day 161 (78, 83), while sophomore Amy Behrman shot 87-79-166.
