Bears Finish Fourth At Inaugural Brown Invitational

Brockton, Mass. - Brown's women's golf team placed fourth overall at the inaugural Brown University Women's Golf Invitational, held at the par-72, 6,001-yard Thorny Lea Golf Club. Harvard, the defending Ivy League Champions, captured the Team Championship with a two-day 611 (309, 302), followed by Boston College (645), Dartmouth (654), Brown (660) and Boston University (692).
Freshman Carly Arison was Brown's top finisher, shooting 77-80--157 to place fifth in the 32 player field. Sophomore Julia Robinson had a solid tournament, shooting 80 on the second day at to finish at 165, 17th overall.
Freshman Heather Arison came in at 83-84--167 in the two-day event, and sophomore Sarah Guarascio scored 83-89--172 for the Bears.
Freshman Megan Tuohy scored 84-90--174 overall. Freshman Deborah Lipson also competed, shooting 104-89--193.
The Bears will be off for a week before resuming play, April 17-18, at the Roar-ee Invitational, hosted by Columbia, at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, New York.
