Women’s Golf Second At Hartford Invitational

Bloomfield, Conn. - Quinnipiac rallied from an 11 shot first round deficit to overtake the Brown women's golf team by one shot, 622-623, at the Hartford Fall Invitational at the Gillette Ridge Golf Club.

Brown held the lead following round one after shooting 306, and finished with a second round 317.  Quinnipiac shot 317-305.

Following Quinnipiac and Brown, Sacred Heart placed third at 627, followed by Hartford (638), Monmouth (650), LIU (665), LaSalle (666), Siena (668), St. Francis (685), Hofstra (691), Holy Cross (695), Fairfield (782) and St. Francis-NY (1031).

The Bears were paced by freshman Winabel McCabe, who placed third individually on rounds of 76-76—152. Close behind was senior Christine Kim, who finished seventh individually with 74-80—154.

Senior Sienna Chapman carded 79-79-158, while junior Elizabeth Doykan posted scores of 77-84—161.  Freshman Brittany Park finished at 83-82-165 for the Bears.

Brown returns to the links, October 15-16, hosting the Brown Bear Invitational at the Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass.
