Bears Finish Fourth At Harvard Invitational

Mattapoisett, MA - Coach Danielle Griffith's Brown women's golf team placed fourth at the Harvard Fall Invitational with a 36-hole score of 626 (313-313) at the 6,101 yard par -71, Bay Club at Mattapoisett. Junior Stephanie Hsieh placed sixth individually with a two-round 150.

 

Harvard's 36-hole 585 earned the team championship by 17 shots over Penn (602), followed by Dartmouth (625), Brown (626) and Merrimack (645).

 

Hsieh continued her strong fall season and led the Bears with rounds of 74-76—150.  Freshman Rosanna Lederhausen turned in her best performance of the fall, shooting 80-78—158 for 15th place individually. Sophomore Lauren Flynn was solid at 159 (79-80), while junior Cassandra Carothers came in at 160 (80-80). 

 

Sophomore Juliette Garay turned in scores of 82-79—161 for the Bears, while freshman Julie Lym played as an individual and shot 84-83—167.

 

Brown will complete its fall season at the Delaware Invitational, October 26-27, at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
