Women’s Golf Fifth After Round One of Ivy League Championship

Absecom, NJ -  The wind whipped through the par-71, 6,011 yard Seaview Golf Resort Bay Course and sent the scores for the first round of the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship higher than normal.  In the end, Brown shot a team score of 345, tied for fifth place overall.


Penn leads the Ancient Eight field with a 326 team total after round one, followed by Yale (328), Harvard (332), Columbia (338), Brown (345), Dartmouth (345) and Princeton (355).


Freshman Stephanie Hsieh paced the Bears at 81, placing ninth overall through the first of three rounds. Senior Carly Arison was close behind at 83, while freshman Michelle Chen came in at 88.  Senior captain Megan Tuohy shot 91, while senior Heather Arison came in at 94.


The Ivy League Championship continues with 18 holes on Saturday, April 28, and concludes with 18 holes on Sunday, April 29.
