Bears Place 9th At Low Country Intercollegiate
HILTON HEAD S.C. – The Brown women's golf team finished ninth in the Low Country Intercollegiate at Moss Creek's par-72, 5,853 yard South Course with a 36-hole score of 646. The Bears were 13th after the first day of competition, but came back with the fifth best team score of the final day (313) to move into ninth place in the 15 team tournament won by Appalachian State, who shot 313-308-621.
Freshman Stephanie Hsieh picked up where she left off in the fall with another strong performance, finishing 15th individually after rounds of 82-75—157. Senior captain Megan Tuohy was close behind, shooting 82-76—158 to place 18th individually.
Senior Heather Arison came in at 85-80-165, while Carly Arison shot 88-82—170. Freshman Cassandra Carothers also scored for the Bears with rounds of 84-89—173.
Coach Danielle Griffith's team returns home to host the Brown Invitational, April 8-9, at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, RI.
