Women’s Golfers Finish Sixth At The Ivy League Championship
Junior Carly Arison shot 73 and junior Megan Tuohy shot 76 in the final round to help the Brown women’s golf team to a sixth place finish at the Ivy League Women’s Golf Championship played at the historic Atlantic City Country Club. Brown shot 311 on Sunday and finished the tournament with a 54-hole 966.

Bears Complete 36-Holes At Ivy Women’s Golf Championship
Through 36-holes at the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, Brown stands in seventh place with a two-round 655 on rounds of 331-324 at par-72 Atlantic City Country Club. The Bears are led by junior Heather Arison, who shot 81, and is tied for 18th place individually at 160 after two rounds.

Bears Seventh At Ivy Women's Golf Championship After Day One
Brown shot 331 on the first day of competition at the 54-hole Ivy league Championship, held at the par 72 Atlantic City Country Club. Junior Megan Tuohy registered four birdies on her way to a first-round 77, fifth overall.

Women’s Golfers Place Seventh At Brown Bear Invitational
Brown’s women’s golf team successfully hosted the Brown Bear Invitational at the par-72, 6012 yard Rhode Island Country Club, site of the 2011 United States Amateur Championship. The Bears placed seventh overall with a two-round 631. Junior Megan Tuohy helped the Bears shoot a second round 309 by carding an even-par 72 to finish with a two round 154, 21st individually.

Womens’ Golf Hosts Brown Bear Invitational at Rhode Island Country Club
The Brown Bear Invitational, hosted by the Brown women’s golf team, will be held on April 10th and 11th at the par-72, 6,012 yard Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, Rhode Island. Designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1911, the Rhode Island Country Club is the host of the USGA Women’s Amateur Championship in August 2011.

Women’s Golf Finishes 8th At Lady Otter Spring Invitational
Brown improved its team score by four shots on the final day of competition to place eighth at the 22-team Lady Otter Spring Invitational, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay at the 5,81- yard, par-72 Black Horse Golf Club. Brown finished with a two-day 636 on rounds of 320-316. Junior Megan Tuohy came on strong with a one-over 73 in the final round.

Bears 6th After Day One of Lady Otter Spring Invitational
Brown’s women’s golf team escaped the frigid temperatures of the Northeast for the more temperate weather of the Monterey Bay to compete in the Lady Otter Spring Invitational, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay at the par-72, 5810 yard Black Horse Golf Club. After the first day of competition, Brown stands in sixth place in the 22-team field after shooting 320. Nova Southeastern U. stands in first place with a first round 295.

Women's Golfers Place 11th in Low Country Intercollegiate
Brown's women's golf team emerged from its winter hibernation to open its spring season at the Low Country Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 5,853 yard Moss Creek South Course in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Bears placed 11th overall on rounds of 346-329--675, and were paced by senior captain Susan Restrepo who shot 87-79--166 to place 33rd individually. Junior Megan Tuohy was close behind at 167 on rounds of 86-81.

Bears Finish Second at Sacred Heart Fall Classic
The Brown women's golf team completed a successful fall season with a second place finish at the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational, played at the Great River Golf Club. Brown finished with a two-day 643 on rounds of 330-313.

Bears Finish Fifth At Harvard Invitational
All seven Ivy League womens golf schools were competing at the Harvard Invitational, played at the par-72 International Golf Club. Brown placed fifth overall with a two-day 652 on rounds of 331-321. Megan Tuohy '12 led the Bears with a two-day 152, while Carly Arison carded a hole-in-one for the Bears.

Brown Wins Northern Illinois Huskie Classic With School Record 296 On Final Day
A school record 296 on the final day of play provided the impetus for the Brown womens golf team to win the 26th Annual Northern Illinois Huskie Golf Classic by three shots with a two-day 611 at par-72 Whisper Creek Golf Club.

Play Suspended at Huskie Womens Golf Classic
Play at the 26th Annual Huskie Classic at Whisper Creek Golf Club was suspended Sunday evening due to darkness. Only one of the three players in the final group were able to complete the 18th hole. The Brown womens golf team was able to complete its first round, shooting a team score of 315.

Bears Turn In Solid Performance At Yale Invitational
Brown turned in a strong performance at the Yale Womens Fall Intercollegiate at the 5,959 yard par-72 Yale Golf Course, finishing 8th overall with a three-round 935 (316, 304, 315). Junior Megan Tuohy turned in a strong performance with a 54-hole 227 that included a sizzling one-under par 71 in the second round to finish 15th individually.

After the first day of play at the Dartmouth Fall Invitational, the Brown womens golf team stands in fourth place with a first round 327 in the 22-team Dartmouth Invitational, held at the par-72 Hanover Country Club. Junior Megan Tuohy shot 77 to lead the Bears.

Four Named To NGCA All-American Scholar Team
Brown senior Susan Restrepo and juniors Megan Tuohy, Heather Arison and Carly Arison have been named to the 2009-10 All-American Scholar Team by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The four golfers are among 321 Division I student-athletes nationwide to achieve this prestigious academic honor for the past year. To be eligible, golfers must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 and must compete in at least 50% of the teams regularly scheduled competitive rounds.
