Brown Womens Golfers Improve To 5th Place After Round Two Of Ivy Championship
Springfield, NJ - The Brown women's golf team moved up to fifth place after shooting 325, seven shots better than its first round score, on the second day of competition at the Ivy League Championship, held at Baltusrol Country Club's 6,100-yard par-72 Upper Course.
After shooting a two round 657, the Bears are fifth are 10 shots in front of Columbia (667) and 20 shots better than Dartmouth (676). The Bears trail fourth place Princeton (650) by just seven shots.
Consistency was the key word for today's round with all of Brown's scores from 80-84. Sophomore Carley Arison had Brown's top score at 80, while junior Susan Restrepo and sophomore Heather Arison each shot 81.
Junior Sarah Guarascio came in with 83 on Saturday, while sophomore Megan Touhy chipped in with 84.
The Ivy League Champion will be crowned with 18 holes on Sunday to complete the 54-hole tournament. The Bears will be teeing off at approximately 11:45 a.m.
